Owner and Trainer, Loretta Zarp, has nearly 20 years of experience working in the field of construction, with safety being always a top priority. She has maintained her OSHA 30 and First-Aid/CPR/AED training for the last 10 years, is a certified Competent Person in both Fall Protection and Excavation/Trench Safety, as well as a licensed training provider for the American Red Cross. She also holds her STSC Certification through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. She has previously worked in project management for one of Southern California’s largest General Contractors. She has also worked for multiple specialty contractors, most recently a large, Union excavation contractor with over 30 years of experience in the industry, where she has taken on the role of safety director.

Outside of her professional career, Loretta is also a mother of two young children. Once becoming a parent, keeping people and their families safe became her top priority. Seeing the everyday dangers people are exposed to not only in the field of construction, but in so many aspects of life, she found a passion for helping people understand the fundamentals of what it takes to reduce risk and hazards and train people to avoid danger where possible. She is also a Girl Scout leader in her local community, a local oversight committee member, and is actively involved in the school PTA.

Teaching First-Aid/CPR/AED training has become a recent passion of hers. She has trained privately in her home, as well as large groups, ranging in age from middle school to adults. She is also trained to teach Babysitter’s Training, which she is contracted to teach at the El Segundo Teen Center through Parks and Rec.
